Myspace is retarded I don't see what's so damn special about it... So what seriously? It's just another damn network like this, or anything. Why is it so great though? Any other profile thing can have the exact same stuff... I got bored so I'm gonna share my opinions about it.





KILLING SENSE OF REALITY?


It's suddenly become the bestest thing it seems everyone needs one if they want friends or they are "uncool." Think about it it's suddenly become a huge topic people talk about it all the time. I might be talking to someone and they go "Did you see my new MySpace Layout?" No and I couldn't care any damn less. Then I'll be walking down the hallway and I may hear "WHY DID YOU TAKE ME OFF YOU TOP 8?" I guess I can start with just a wow... does it really matter that much that your friend has a better friend than you? It's not like they're mad... Which bring me to my next point... If someone takes someone off they're friends list why are they automatically "mad" at each other? It could be a accident... someone may have logged on as them... and there's 100s other reasons It doesn't really matter that your Friend List has 1 less person on it. This brings me to 2 more points... I'll start with random friend adding or being a "MySpace Whore" what's the point? People couldn't care less if you have 100 more friends than them if you don't know a single person on your list it's not going to make you seem cool... just like a idiot trying to seem cool but failing miserably... Then the 2nd of my two points I was trying to make which is if one doesn't get added... I've seen to many people be mad at people just because one doesn't add them as a friend... once again this doesn't nesscessarly mean they hate or are mad at you... often people have they're reasons which could be someone changed the password, don't know you well enough, and are about to delete their myspace...





COMMENTING?


Another thing I can go against is the commenting people think it's so awesome. It really doesn't matter how many ******* comments you have. I hear people sometimes say "I just broke 1000 comments!" Wow I don't mean to put you down or anything but when your doing tons of chains and conversations on your comments they really don't count if your gonna be a dumbass and be competitive about it. Even at times kinda going back to the layout comment i metioned earlier the person ended up saying "You should go comment on it" As I said no one really cares about your layout if someone says "Ohh... it's cute" they're just trying to be nice since they know your just trying to impress them for some sad reason. Someone I was talking to on AIM once even asked if I would comment them cause they hadn't had one in a while I look at their MySpace and see the last comment was 2 hours ago and they had over 900. Ok you really need a new comment I bet you haven't even read 1/2 of them, so I comment them saying "Happy?" 1st off they get pissed... why though? I have like 43 and hadn't had one in days at that point yet they have 900 and are complaining about not having one in 2 hours... Another thing that pisses me off is the picture commenting... so many people put "I don't think I look good in this one" or " I think I'm ugly" If you thought you looked so damn bad or ugly why the hell would you put up the picture? Then people put the "Your Hot" for like every comment. What's so damn special about that? And if people don't put the same old comment then the person might be mad... personally I like to put "Your right you are ugly!"





BULLITINS?


To beleive some of the **** on there you'd have to be crazy, like mental hospitol crazy... Personally I don't beleive in good and never will but if I did I'd be smarter than some of these morons with god which basically mean if you don't repost this you'll go to hell. I always look at these and laugh... do you really think a god would care that much about you not reposting a MySpace Bulletin? Then there's the whore bulletins which I discussed earlier and will say again PEOPLE THINK YOUR A LOSER IF YOU DO THEM! Then there's one such as the clown statue and he'll you yea...yea...yea... you know how big a list that clown has now? If it was true it could take him 100s of years research says for him to get to you and hopefully you don't live for that long, you couldn't be that scared over absolutly nothing...





MY MYSPACE EXPERIENCE


I got it sometime last year and kinda became addicted to it like how I've ranted on about for so long. It makes you focus on things that really don't matter instead of things that do. Like "I wonder how I can make it look cooler?" or "I wonder if some hot girl will find me and add me?" I'm not afraid to admit it but I did. Still I see people with this addiction and false sense of reality, people say "I'm addicted to MySpace" or "I need to change up my MySpace" To these people I hope you releize how big a DUMBASS you look. Ever since I deleted my MySpace I have peope come up to me all the time "Why did you delete your MySpace?" Good question I don't like to get sucked into things and lose grip of what really matters, I like to be a indivdual and not have to be influenced by others like I was on MySpace. So to those people Get the **** over it. It's just a damn website





IN CONCLUSION


MySpace is taking over I know students so obcessed they're making it for the teachers... I mean come on do you not think they have enough of putting up with you as it is? Parents often want the kids to delete them cause of sexual predators. Even though I never had any experience with one so far as I'm concerning it's pretty safe. I find it truely sad that some people chose myspace in front of their family. At that point you know it's just a probelm and getting in the way of real life. I'm not completly against it though I mainly am it's good if your in a band it really helps get your name out there. But to the point I needed to get this out cause it bugging ther crap put of me cause as you see I have a lot to say, don't let it get in the way of life.

Reply:I LUV myspace and it's as safe as u make it ~ see people who go on and give random people their personal information cannot expect to be in a safe place. People get caught up in having fun and dont realize that some people are out to do them harm. kepp it simple and dont realy to much of yourself on there.

Reply:i have a myspace and i like it ok. i like xanga better though. ive meet several people though both sites that seem to be really good people but you never really know when talking to people online.

Reply:I like it, you can always set your profile to private so only your true friends can view your website, I think it's all about what you're trying to do anyway. I definetely think that young teenagers should not be on there, but they shouldn't be on aol either. I'm on myspace, but it truly is only for networking and finding friends, which I have been very sucessful at doing. I have found a ton of people that I went to high school with and just old friends in general that I haven't talked to in a long time.
Reply:I think it is very unsafe! All you have to do is type in a name and there you go there is there profile of which it has there full name there age there location and everything personal so its a bad site!!

Reply:I have a myspace profile it is cool. I think that it is safe as long as you dont tell people exactly were you live. It is a great place to express yourself and talk to people. Your friend list doesnt have to be a bunch of people that u dont know it can be just people that you actually know

Reply:I like Myspace ok. My kids all have one. There are pervs all over, of course you have to be careful, but there is a lot of good interaction there I think. Lots of new music and comedians there, so you can stay on the cutting edge! I found out about Dane Cook on there, and have made several friends there.
Reply:I think it's a cool site to find and make friends, but nothing more. I talk to some really cool guys on it, but we all know never to meet them outside, like all site these days, caution is needed.

Reply:It's safe if you know how to be safe yourself. I have a page on it, but I do not recommend it for children. If a child gets a page on it, they should not reveil their true age, anywhere you go, there is a lot of sexual content (espesially aimed at males) and people who misuse it (as any other site), but there are also over 5 million people on myspace just looking for people with the same interests or networking.
