if you work at an office with many cubicles try and "borrow" one without giving it back. if your unimployed than rack up some money and try to buy a USB non-ball mouse. If you have a "ball" mouse you might have to tighten the bottom or even open it and clean it out, the ball needs proper friction with the dust that gathers in it, it might just be rolling but not really "moving" any thing

You need to go to an image hosting site, www.photobucket.com is one that I use. Load the image, and you will receive a URL for the pic copy that then paste it to your myspace. There are size limitations when you do it this way.

For the comments, you find the image you want, and store it in something like photobuck.com and then copy the url and past it in the comment box, once you hit submit comment the image will be there.

actually I did have a tagworld and i think its MUCH better than myspace. Alot cleaner and alot less ads. Though when it came down to it, tagworld is nothing unless your friends have one too. And since all my friends are using myspace and facebook, i kinda never used my tagworld.

Are MySpace.com and TagWorld.com breeding grounds for predators and what can parents do to keep kids safe?

The best defense against predators online is parental involvement.

1. Take the computers out of the kids' rooms and put it where parents can see what the kids are doing.

2. Ask questions about who they are talking to and talk about ways to protect themselves online against these people.

3. Limit how much time the kids are online, by scheduling time outdoors with friends and family time.

4. Explain to kids that it is not a "trust" issue, but there are people out there who know how to lure kids, who would normally be trustworthy kids. Predators take advantage of kid's normal lack of streetwisdom. Make it more about you and your kids against the bad guys rather than not trusting them.

5. Make sure you offer a safe place for them to talk to you if they see or read something that makes them uncomfortable. Open communication is key. They need to know that you will listen without judgement and give them support.

6. Agree on what information to give online and set some clear guidelines on one's online persona and chatting.

7. Insist on knowing exactly who they are talking with. Offline parents should know who their friends with and their parents, should it be any different online?

I am a teenager and I don't even feel safe on getting onto one of those sites. There have been known reports for people missing from these sites. There will always be predators. As long as your child knows not to give out any information about themselves or anyone else than they might be alright. But still it is very dangerous!!!!!!!!
Reply:It is true that predators are very active on these sites. Parents should monitor their children's computer usage. It is soooo easy to search for a my space account. You don't have to create an account to search for people. You should monitor you child's account and see what is posted on it.
Reply:Kids who are dumb and give out all their personal information have dumb parents who dont know/dont care what their children are doing online until something happens and then come along and try to sue everyone they can so they can get some money instead of taking responsibility of their own dumb kids! If you are not smart enough to teach your kids of the dangers out in the world that is your problem! Dont blame web sites, video games, etc blame yourselves! Its not a lawyers job or the governments job to raise your kid its your job to teach them!

Reply:Yes i agree i recently heard about a young girl about 13 who told her parents she was going to canada with her friends they let her go and she really went over to the middle east to meet some one from myspace. Thankfully she returned safe and never made it past border patrol to meet the man. There is a age restriction i believe but it doesnt mean anything, anyone could say they are a certain age. I just dont let my children on the computer with out my husband or i watching what they are looking at.

The best thing to do is educate your kids of the dangers, sit down with your kid and explain never to give any personal info out and to also not give there address and to absolutely not meet anyone from chat rooms or my space

Utilize the internet as a family. Teach your children where to go, how to protect themselves, and that the internet is not all fun and games, but rather a very powerful tool that some may use for illicit reasons.

This is one of those situations where parental guidance may not appear to be effective, but children hear and listen to what you say much more often than not, even when followed up with, 'Moo-ooom, gross!'

There are tons of new social networking sites popping up every day. It depends on what you are looking for. Facebook is one of the most popular social network sites, 2nd in traffic compared to MySpace. MySpace has approx. 100 million users (although many accounts are fake) while facebook has roughly 10 million. Facebook, however is geared primarily to college students so it is far more targeted to a specific group of people - and you need a valid college email to sign up (i'm sure you know this already). Highschool students can also join as well as users from specific businesses. Bebo is another popular social network site in the UK, but i am unfamiliar with it. Consumate is another social site. It is mostly about being 'popular' though. If you are into that sort of thing, check it out. There are lots of other networks as well - including sites like MuslimSpace made primarily for Muslims, and even Dogster and Catster which are sites where you can make profiles for your pets. MySpace is getting increasingly LESS safe as it becomes too mainstream. I would check out these sites that I've listed and see what you think. The world of social networks is constantly evolving...so you never know what might pop up in a month.
